Mary Blasingame

March 29, 1919 - December 6, 2010

Mary Blasingame, age 91, of McKinney, Texas passed away December 6, 2010. She was born March 29, 1919 in Chambersville, Texas to Nathan Reaves and Barbara (Dalton) Reaves. On August 10, 1948 she married Buford Blasingame. Mary worked as a sales director for Mary Kay Cosmetics. She was a member of the Business and Professional Women’s Club of McKinney. Mary was also a member of Melissa Church of God. She is survived by her sons, Doyle Landers and wife, Dora of Hawkins, Texas, Larry Landers of Princeton, Texas; daughters, Irene Strickland and husband, C.L. of Mineola, Texas, Dorthea Mills and husband, Maxie of McKinney, Texas; thirteen grandchildren, thirty-seven great-grandchildren and thirty-one great-great-grandchildren. She is also survived by numerous other loving relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Nathan and Barbara Reaves; husband, Buford Blasingame; sons, Billy Ray Ford and Melvin Blasingame; ten brothers and sisters. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 9:00-11:00 a.m., Thursday, December 9, 2010, at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home, Allen, Texas. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, December 9, 2010 at Ridgeview Memorial Park, Allen, Texas with Rev. Kelly Montgomery officiating. A celebration of Mary’s life will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, December 9, 2010 at Melissa Church of God, 1603 West Harrison Street, Melissa, Texas 75454. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the charity of your choice.

We rememember Mary when we all used to go to the condos in the summer and have such a good time together. She was a great Lady and friend to us , and she will not be forgot.
