A Funeral Service for Mary Ann Melton Staley, 70 year old Bonham resident, is scheduled for 12 Noon, Monday, March 18, 2019 at the First Assembly of God of Leonard. Pastor Linda Aaron will officiate. Burial will be in the Leonard Cemetery. Family viewing and visitation is scheduled for Sunday, March 17, 2019 from 5:00 until 8:00 P.M. at the Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Chapel of Leonard.

Mary was born September 3, 1948 at Pampa, Texas. Her parents were Billy Eugene and Verbenia Frances White Melton. She was a homemaker and a member of the Pentecostal Church of Jesus Christ of Leonard. She married Elvin Douglas Staley October 19, 1993 at Ravenna. Mary was a loving daughter, mother, grandmother and sister. She was also a great woman of faith. Mary passed away at her residence Friday, March 15, 2019.

Mary is survived by her son and daughter-in-law: Michael and Sandra Wheeler of Bonham; her son: Larry Wheeler of Bonham; her daughter-in-law: Corinna Wheeler of Decatur; her daughters: Lisa Staley of Leonard and Rosa Lee of Honey Grove; her brother: Ted Melton of Round Rock; her sister and brother-in-law: Dorothy and Charles Nash of Oak Point; her grandchildren: Ricky Wrinkle, Elijah Wheeler, Rachel Wheeler, John Wheeler, Michael Wheeler, Jr, Cody Wheeler, Tatiana Ramon, Lizzy Villanueva, Anthony Villanueva, Robert Waldrip and Charles Bowen. She is also survived by four great-grandchildren, as well as several nieces and nephews.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents: Billy Eugene and Verbenia Frances White Melton; her husband: Doug Staley; her brother: Gene Melton and her baby sister: Teri Hass.
