Mary Alice Dobransky, age 84, of McKinney, Texas, (formerly of Savannah, Georgia) passed away May 18, 2018. Mary was born May 8, 1934, in Cleveland, Ohio, to Steven Walter and Margaret (Deeds) Banach. She grew up in Cleveland, Ohio and graduated from St. Stephens High School. Mary married Joseph Wesley Dobransky on September 11, 1954, in Cleveland. She enjoyed working with charitable organizations including Savannah’s Second Harvest and Park Place Outreach. Mary was actively involved as a sister in P.E.O. for over twenty-five years. She was a member of St. James Catholic Church in Savannah, Georgia.
The matriarch of a large family, she is survived by her children, Linda Dobransky of Jackson, Tennessee, Robert Dobransky and wife, Allison of Reno, Nevada, Laura Davy and husband, Randall of Forest, Virginia, Joseph Dobransky and wife, Lori of McKinney, Texas, and Julie Kuehn and husband, Scott, also of McKinney; son-in-law, Jeffrey Buckley; fifteen grandchildren; nineteen great-grandchildren; brothers and sisters, Kathleen Viancourt of Cleveland, Ohio, Daniel Banach of Brook Park, Ohio, Arlene D’Allesandro of Naples, Florida, Margaret Ann Proctor of Erie, Pennsylvania, and Loretta Masterson of The Villages, Florida; several nieces and nephews; and a host of other loving family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her devoted husband of 61 years, daughter, Beth Ann Buckley, parents, and brother, Frank Banach.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, May 23, 2018, at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel in Allen, Texas. Interment will follow at Ridgeview Memorial Park in Allen.
