Marvin Rex Breithaupt

Marvin Rex Breithaupt, age 87, of McKinney, Texas, passed away December 26, 2013 in Anna, Texas. He was born on February 7, 1926 to Paul Walter and Goldie Mae (Schroder) Breithaupt. Marvin married his first wife (mother of their two daughters) Eula Lucile Brink and later married Rosemary Eleanor Tylock, his wife of 37 years. He grew up in Nebraska where he attended Pauline school. Marvin enlisted in the Merchant Marines where he served during World War II. He later served in the U.S. Marine Corps. during the Korean Conflict where he participated in the Battle at the Chosin Reservoir. He was honorably discharged on November 6, 1951 and was a proud member of the Chosin Few. After his military career, Marvin worked for the United States Postal Service, was a surveyor, and also owned Climax Painting Service for a number of years; and also worked for Murray Homes. He enjoyed wood working, camping and traveling in their RV.

He is survived by his daughters, Pat Travers and husband Lee of Tyler, Texas, Rhonda Rollins and husband Brent of Anna, Texas; grandchildren, Chris Travers and wife Mallory of Dubai, UAE, Katy Campbell and husband Ryan of Tomball, Texas, Charlie Rollins, Joey Rollins, Robbie Rollins, Rocky Rollins, Brittany Lindsey and husband B.J., Chase Rollins and wife Jessica all of Anna, Texas.

Marvin is preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Goldie Breithaupt; first wife, Eula Lucile Breithaupt and second wife, Rosemary Eleanor Breithaupt; sisters, Lela Jones and Velva Overy.

A funeral service will be held at 12:00 p.m., Saturday, January 4, 2014, at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel in Allen, Texas. Interment with military honors will follow at Ridgeview Memorial Park. The family will receive friends during a visitation being held from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Friday evening at the funeral home.
