Martin Brenner Jr., age 70, of Murphy, Texas, passed away August 9, 2015. He was born on December 28, 1944, in Germany, to Martin Brenner Sr. and Maria (Lemli) Brenner. Martin was a very active member with the City of Murphy including, Chairman of The Home Rule Charter Commission, Appointed to the Community Development Corporation Board, as well as being a very active member of the C.E.R.T. Team in Murphy, Texas. Marty loved dogs, some would say that he was a dog whisperer because he had a special connection with pets and especially children. Everyone should have had the pleasure of knowing this man with such a big heart.
He is survived by his wife, Esther Brenner of Murphy, Texas; children, Ebonee Thomas of Murphy, Texas, Martin Brenner III and wife Mitzi of Austin, Texas, Matthew Brenner and wife Julie of Frisco, Texas, Roxanne Bogdan and husband Kent of Murphy, Texas; grandchildren, Brice Brenner, Martin Brenner, Matthew Brenner, Jr., Tommy Brenner, Andrew Bogdan, Blake Bogdan, and Carter Bogdan; sister, Elsa Congiu and husband Ralph of Frisco, Texas; nephew, Scott Congiu; and niece, Cheryl Higley.
Martin is preceded in death by his parents.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, August 15, 2015 at Prince of Peace Catholic Church in Plano, Texas.
