Gale McPherson, lover of grandchildren, garage sales, interior decorating, the Dallas Cowboys and Tom Selleck, passed away peacefully at the age of 76 on January 3, 2020. Martha Gale McCorkle was born on December 3, 1943 in Tyler, Texas to Pete and Fannie (Mickler) McCorkle. The second oldest of four daughters, Gale attended John Tyler High School and Tyler Junior College where she received an Associate Degree and was a member of the Apache Belles. In 1964, she married James McPherson and moved to Dallas, Texas. They had two children, Kelly and Amanda, and eventually settled in Mesquite, Texas. Gale went on to work for Lone Star Gas, CXY Energy and several other oil and gas companies until her retirement in 2010. Known for her joyous laugh, biting sense of humor and homemade buttermilk biscuits, her lifelong passions were finding great deals at consignment shops, floral design, interior decorating, gardening, football, baseball and the occasional cigarette with a nice glass of Chardonnay. She often bragged of being fluent in two languages: English and Sarcasm.
