Martha Louise Ferrell, age 72, of Allen, Texas, passed away on September 8, 2011. She was born December 6, 1938, in Athens, Texas, to Richard Andrew and Blanche (White) Owen. Martha married Harland O’Neal Ferrell on June 7, 1956, in Athens, Texas. She grew up in Athens, where she attended schools. Martha enjoyed gardening and playing with her grandchildren. She is survived by her daughter, Nancy Ferrell of Allen, Texas; grandchildren, Shane Davey and Olivia Davey; sister, Doris Brown of Lafayette, Louisiana; numerous nieces and nephews, and a host of other loving friends and relatives. Martha is preceded in death by her parents, Richard and Blanche Owen; husband, Harland Ferrell; sisters, Helen Mills, Bobbie Irvin, Barbara Thomas, and Wanda Owen; and brother, Eugene Owen. A graveside service will be held on Sunday, September 11, 2011, at 3:00 p.m., at Ridgeview Memorial Park, in Allen, Texas. The family will receive friends during a visitation one hour prior to the service, beginning at 2:00 p.m.
