Mark Lane Owen, 58, went to be with the Lord on October 20th of 2021. Born in Dallas and raised in Irving, Mark was part of a close and loving immediate and extended family. As a child he had a love for baseball and bull riding.
Mark graduated from Irving High School in 1981 and soon followed in his fathers footsteps with a successful career in logistics.
Mark was an avid outdoorsman and was an expert in skeet shooting. He also had a special love for hunting. After retiring, Mark found a new interest in the stock market. He spent hours researching and knew the ins and out and how to be successful at it.
Nine years ago, Mark's life changed when love shined upon him. This beautiful bright light was the love of his life, Dorathe, his true soulmate. They married and have been perpetual lovebirds since.
God knew to bring Dorathe into Mark's life because she's tough and could handle when his "Owen was showin'!" In spite of his stubborn ways, she loved him unconditionally and saw the beauty in his soul. Their love is a testament and inspiration to those who knew them.
They never left each other's side and Dorathe was by his side until he took his last breath. Mark's hand then left hers as it reached for Jesus.
We'll see you again Mark Lane Owen and we have comfort knowing you are no longer in pain! The love we have for you will always remain in our hearts.
He is survived by the love of his life, Dorathe; stepchildren, Brandon Crawford and Chelsea Berch; grandson, Jaxon Crawford; brother, Bill owen of irving Texas; nephew, Tyler Owen and wife, Janet and their children, Vivian and Parker of Jefferson, Texas.
Mark is preceded in death by his parents, Dorothy and Carroll Owen.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, November 7, 2021 at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home, 2525 Central Expressway North in Allen, Texas.
