Mark Garrett Dungan of Burleson, Texas passed away on May 30, 2021 at the age of 40 after a courageous two-year battle with cancer. He was born on April 9, 1981 to Ron and Eileen (Thompson) Dungan in Arlington, Texas.
Mark was an extremely hard worker with a bright personality. He was a talented diesel tech mechanic around the DFW area for most of his life. He had a passion for working in his yard and completing many projects around his home, even through his cancer diagnosis. He had a big heart which could be seen for his love of pit bulls and how he cared for his family. People were drawn to him because of his personality and ability to make people laugh. On April 2, 2021, he professed his faith in Jesus Christ and was baptized at Grace Point Family Church in Anna, Texas. He was very loved and will be missed.
Mark is survived by his Parents, Ron and Eileen Dungan of Coppell, Texas; Wife, Sara Hill of Burleson, Texas; Stepdaughter, Harper; Brothers, Jay Dungan and Wife, Melody of Frisco, Texas, and Kyle Dungan and wife, Amanda of Melissa, Texas; Nephew, Parker Dungan of Frisco, Texas; Grandmother, Natalie Thompson of Carrollton, Texas; and numerous loving aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his Grandparents, Warren and Marcelle Dungan; and Grandfather, Jay Thompson.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, June 4, 2021 at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home Chapel, 2525 Central Expressway North, Allen, Texas 75013. The family will receive visitors from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m., Thursday, June 3, 2021, at the funeral home. Following the service, a procession will make its way to Ridgeview Memorial Park for a committal service.
