IN LOVING MEMORY

Mark Wayne Mose

Nov 12 1958 - May 17 2016

Mark Wayne Mose, affectionately known as “Marky” was called to Heaven on Tuesday, May 17, 2016 from his home in The Colony, Texas.

Born in Marksville, Louisiana on November 12, 1958, he grew up knowing the warmth of a close family and community.  The Son of Maude Mose and Albert Williams, who proceeded his journey, is survived by his Son, Matthew who recently graduated college in Kansas, Sister Scharrol Wansley of Frisco, Texas, Brothers Terrell and Lester of Beaumont, Texas, James Juneau of Victorville, California and Sister Drusilla Mose of Wharton, Texas.  Mark is also survived by many blessed Nieces, Nephews and Cousins throughout the country.

Mark graduated Marksville H.S in 1977 and attended Lamar University where he was a superb athlete and valued member of the football team.  Mark was always upbeat because he was a true man of faith. He was that man who smiled in the face of challenges and inspired others.  Mark’s life meant so much to so many.  He would often hold up his hands saying these were made to serve.  He was always there to help anyone in any way.  As Benjamin Franklin said, “A long life may not be good enough, but a good life is long enough.”  During Matthew’s college graduation, he said to Scharrol that he was so proud and it was the greatest day of his life.  That was the most special moment indeed. We all wish that we had more time with Mark but God needed him more right now.  We will cherish and be guided by his memory.  His good life serves to inspire us to making our presence here as meaningful as possible.  Thank you Dear Marky for touching our lives with love.
