Mark W. Ward

Mark W. Ward, age 70, of Little Elm, Texas passed away on February 9, 2019, in McKinney, Texas.  He was born in Great Bend, Kansas, where he grew up and gave his life to serve the Lord as a teenager and was serving faithfully until his death.  He was drafted into the army at the age of 18 where he served his country.  Of the time he served, a year was in Vietnam as an army medic.  After he came home, he began working for the U. S. Postal Service.  He married Anna Benson on Sept 8, 1972.  They transferred to Houston, Texas, not long after marrying where they had a home where everyone was welcome.   

Mark had a love for his family and friends that was unimaginable.  Looking after everyone and their well-being, he could never say no.  Every time he would call and say, “It’s just me.”  He loved giving gifts.  Everyone’s birthdays and anniversaries were important for him to never forget.  Be it baking a cake or having mom crochet a blanket.   

Mark leaves behind his children, Dorothy Sutton and her husband William Sutton, Natasha Randall and her husband Anthony Randall, Angela Tucker and soon to be son in law Steve Consol, Joshua Ward and his wife Tara Ward.  His grandchildren, Lindsay Sutton, Hannah Sutton, Heather Sutton, Hunter Sutton, Gage Sutton, Annalynn Randall, Steven Randall, Kimber Tucker, Krista Tucker, Hayleigh Ward, and Joshua Ward II; brother, Jack Frost and wife Susanna; and sister Caroline Montgomery; numerous nieces, nephews and numerous cousins. 

He was preceded in death by his mom Dorothy Frost, his wife Anna Marie Ward, his brother Leonard Frost, and his grandson Lance Jeremy Sutton. 

Mark was a pillar to his family making sure that everyone was where they needed to be and had everything that they needed.  He will be sorely missed. 

Family and friends are invited to a Visitation on Friday, February 15, 2019, at the Berkshire Chapel, 9073 Berkshire Drive, Frisco, Texas, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.  A Funeral Service will be held at the Berkshire Chapel on Saturday, February 16, 2019, beginning at 10:00 a.m.  Interment will follow at Belew Cemetery, 9500 Belew Road, Pilot Point, Texas 76258.
