Mark Wallace Douglas of Plano, Texas passed away July 3, 2018, at the age of 57. He was born September 26, 1960, to George Milton Douglas and Mary Lou (Johnson) Douglas in McKinney, Texas. Mark was born and raised in McKinney. He attended McKinney schools and was a 1979 graduate of McKinney High School. Mark continued his education at Prairie View A&M University where he majored in business. He later attended NIT where he earned an associate’s degree in engineering. Mark married Lorisa Sherlnice Perry on December 6, 1985, in McKinney, Texas. He worked for Texas Instruments for thirteen successful years before he established, owned and operated his own business, Pop Top Auto Sales and Detail. He enjoyed music and spending time with his family. Marks passion was corvettes. He was a member of The McKinney First Baptist Church.
Mark is survived by his wife, Lorisa Perry Douglas of Plano, Texas; son, DeMarcus Ahmad Douglas and wife Andrea of McKinney, Texas; daughter, Breanna Aniece Douglas of Plano, Texas; mother, Mary Lou Douglas of McKinney, Texas; sister, Sarah F. Douglas of McKinney, Texas; grandchildren, Myles Douglas and Alyvia Douglas also of McKinney, Texas.
He was preceded in death by father, George Milton Douglas and brother, Milton Wayne Douglas.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, July 14, 2018 at The McKinney First Baptist Church, 401 W. Erwin Avenue, McKinney, Texas 75069 with Rev. Louis Rosenthal officiating. Interment is to follow at Ridgeview Memorial Park in Allen, Texas. The family will receive friends during a visitation on Friday evening from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home in Allen, Texas.
