Mark “Marko” Case, 63, passed away on Sunday, February 23, 2025, surrounded by his family and listening to his favorite songs. He left this world exactly as he lived in it—on his own terms, with great music, and with the people he loved most.
Born on December 23, 1961, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, to Nancy and Herman Case, Mark grew up in Hobart as the oldest of three kids. From the very beginning, he was the life of the party, always ready with a story (some more accurate than others) and a joke that would leave everyone laughing. His gift for storytelling was legendary.
Mark had a deep ambition and an unstoppable drive. Determined to see the world, he built a successful career in sales, where he thrived on helping others. He spent most of his professional life in the multifamily property management industry as a sales executive for RealPage. His career wasn’t just about business—it was about people, connections, and the thrill of solving problems. He lived by the words of Zig Ziglar: “You can have everything in life you want, if you will just help other people get what they want.”
While many admired him, Mark never seriously considered settling down—until he met Jeannie. She was strong, independent, and unlike anyone else he had ever met. Their love story was one for the books, and together they built a life full of adventure, laughter, and three incredible kids, Courtney, Hilary, and Connor. They were his greatest pride, and he never missed a chance to brag about them.
Marko undoubtedly loved fishing, golfing, cooking, skiing, gardening and just about anything that let him be outside. He was also an avid reader and history buff; Often reading the large biographies that no one dare pick up. He had an undeniable love for music, and while he didn’t always hit every note, that never stopped him from singing his heart out. His favorite places to travel —Colorado, the Florida Keys, or Costa Rica—weren’t just locations; they were home bases for adventure, places where he could share unforgettable experiences with family and friends. His motto? Why go alone when you can bring people along for the ride? He found more joy in others’ joy than his own.
Faith in Jesus played a huge role in Mark’s life. He became a Christian at a young age, and his faith shaped everything he did. He believed in giving, in serving, and in lifting others up. He didn’t just preach generosity—he lived it. If someone needed help, he was the first to step up, often giving more than even his own family thought was reasonable. He understood that everything he had was a gift from God, and he shared it freely.
Mark is survived by his wife, Jeannie Case; his children, Courtney Bradford and husband Levi, Hilary Case, and Connor Case and wife, Amanda; his mother, Nancy Stephenson and her husband Phillip; his siblings Ellen Beers and her husband, Brandin and David Case; and a long list of friends and extended family who loved him dearly.
He was preceded in death by his father, Herman Case.
Marko was a force—one-of-a-kind, larger than life, and impossible to forget. He left an impression wherever he went, not just because he lived life to the fullest, but because he made sure everyone around him did, too. His love, his laughter, and his incredible spirit will be missed more than words can say. But if there’s one thing he’d want us all to remember, it’s this: Life is short—so make it count.
A memorial service will be held to celebrate Mark’s life on Thursday, 2:00 p.m. March 6th, 2025, at 6801 West Park Boulevard, Plano, Texas 75093.
