Mark Lonzo Mishler, age 59, of Princeton, Texas, passed away on March 3, 2016. He was born November 29, 1956 in Joplin, Missouri to Calvin and Barbara (Wheeler) Mishler. Mark grew up in Baxter Springs, Kansas where he graduated from high school. He earned his Bachelor and Master degrees from Pittsburg State University where he was a member of the Lambda Chi fraternity. On August 12, 1978, Mark married Debbie McCoy in Chanute, Kansas. Mark was a high school teacher and coach of many sports in the Basehor-Linwood School District for twenty years where he started the district’s building trades and AutoCAD classes. After leaving education, Mark started working in computer programming which took him to the Dallas, Texas area to work for Alliance Data. During his thirteen years at Alliance he was an integral part of the IT department, a beloved people manager, and an outstanding technical resource. Mark loved spending time with his wife, children and grandchildren. He was a man of many talents and loved life. He enjoyed gardening and landscaping, golfing, running, bicycling and coaching his many students in cross country, track, basketball, golf and baseball. His beekeeping and pen making hobbies provided him a way to give to his many friends and family. He was passionate about flying and spending time with family on the hunting lease. Mark was always a man of adventure, competing in the Pikes Peak Run, skydiving and scuba diving.
He is survived by his wife, Debbie Mishler of Princeton, Texas; children, Maggie Watson and husband Mike of Kansas City, Missouri, Cliff Mishler and wife Tonya of The Colony, Texas; grandchildren, Will Watson, Max Watson and Calvin Watson all of Kansas City, Missouri; mother, Barbara Mishler of Lawrence, Kansas; brothers, Ken Mishler and wife Debbie of Lawrence, Kansas, Kurtis Mishler and wife Barbara of Louisville, Kentucky; brother-in-law, Ken McCoy and wife Roz of Chanute, KS; sister-in-law, Chyrl McCoy of Foley, AL; many nieces, nephews, other family members and close friends. All who knew and loved him will dearly miss him.
Mark is preceded in death by his father, Calvin Mishler.
A memorial service will be held at 11:30 am, on Saturday, March 12, 2016 at Faith Baptist Church, 1306 N. 6th Street, Princeton, Texas, with Pastor Stan Fike officiating. The family will receive friends before the service from 10:30 – 11:30 at the church.
