Mark Howell Freeman, age 64, passed away July 16, 2024, in Farmersville, Texas. He was born on December 1st, 1959., in Denison, Texas, to parents Robert Freeman and Kathleen (Boydston) Freeman.
Mark attended Plano Senior High School graduating in the class of ’78. On August 3, 1978, he and Dena married in Plano, Texas. They created many wonderful, cherished memories while raising their son Mark Jr. Through the years, Mark supported his family with a long career in commercial construction and civil engineering.
Mark's love for animals, particularly dogs and horses, and his enjoyment of hunting and ranching at the farm show how much he cherished the outdoors and the simple pleasures of life. Mark left behind a legacy of hard work, love for nature, and devotion to family.
Mark is survived by his wife, Dena Freeman, of Allen, Texas; son, Mark Howell Freeman, Jr. (wife Ashley), of McKinney, Texas; grandchildren, Mark Freeman III (wife Kayla), Elizabeth Freeman, Hannah Byrd (husband Cody), Reid Castaneda, and Abby Castaneda, all of McKinney, Texas; and a host of family members and friends, who will miss him dearly.
Mark was preceded in death by his mother, Kathleen (Boydston) Freeman, and his grandmother, Kathryn “Nana” Smith.
A Memorial Service will be held 10:00 A.M., Monday, July 22, 2024, at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Chapel, 2525 Central Expressway North, Allen, Texas 75013.
