Mark Edward Doshier

Mark Edward Doshier, age 45, of McKinney, Texas passed away on May 6, 2014. He was born on May 6, 1969 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to Bonnie and David Doshier. Mark graduated from Claremore High School in 1987 and was a class of 1992 graduate of The University of Oklahoma. In the corporate world, Mark was known for his work with Cochlear Americas from August 2005 to January 2014 and was proud to be the first bilateral simultaneous Cochlear implant recipient in the U.S. He was truly a pioneer in his life and field in that he was pivotal in assisting the hearing impaired world regain their God given abilities by living as both an example and a leader in the field.

Aside from his professional endeavors, Mark was best known by those that knew him as a great father, husband, son, brother, friend, and neighbor. His calm nature and natural smile will endure in the hearts of those that knew him. Always having time to say hello, it was nice to run across him in your daily travels. Neighbors living close by will remember his love for family, adoration for his girls, a nice yard, his stellar Christmas decorations and his tropical trees. When given the chance, he loved spending time with family at Big Cedar Lodge, relaxing and enjoying life. Faith was a big part of his life and he attended First Baptist Church of McKinney.

Mark is survived by his wife Karen and beautiful daughters Sarah and Hannah, of McKinney; parents David and Bonnie of Claremore, Oklahoma; twin brother John Doshier and wife Becca of Claremore; sister Amie Brown and husband Michael of Claremore; sister Laura Humphrey and husband Scott of Bermuda; sister-in-law Kimberly Chalk and husband Ricky of Prosper; nephews and a neice, Logan and Lauren of Claremore; Ethan and Bryce of Bermuda; Christopher Sherman of Little Elm.

Services will be held Friday, May 9, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church in McKinney, Texas. A private interment will be held at Pecan Grove Cemetery in McKinney, Texas.
