Mrs. Marjorie Watchous, age 95, passed away August 23, 2007, in Rockwall, Texas. She was born August 22, 1912, to John Goodson and Stella (Brock) Samples, in Halfway, Missouri. On June 23, 1928, she married Henry Lloyd Watchous in Cottonwood Falls, Kansas. She was a member of The Altar Guild of St. Pete’s Episcopal Church, for years she did Alterations for Vermillions dress shop in McKinney. She is survived by her daughters, Carol Bowing of Richardson, Texas, and Nancy Bailey and her husband Charlie of Austin, Texas; grandchildren, Karen Murray of Houston, Texas, Russell Bailey of Austin, Kevin McCulley of Luther, Oklahoma, and Hank Bowling of Garland, Texas; seven great-grandchildren; and sister, Marion Carter of El Paso, Texas. She is preceded in death by her husband, Hank Watchous; and daughter, Sue McCulley. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 Friday, August 31, 2007 at Life Church, 13701 Hillcrest Rd. Dallas, Texas, with Pastor Eric Johnson officiating. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Life Church in Dallas.
