Marjorie Bernadine Camp, age 80 of The Colony, Texas passed away on December 12, 2011 in Carrollton, Texas. She was born on January 15, 1931 in Dexter, Iowa to Viola Murphy. She met her husband, Shaw Franklin Camp while they were both serving their country in the US Army. Marjorie and Shaw were married on July 17, 1950 in Seguin, Texas. Margie enjoyed much travel in her life. Being a military wife she lived in Japan, Germany and France. She has also lived in Virginia, Pennsylvania, Florida, South Carolina, Arkansas, California and Texas. She had lived in The Colony since 1980. Marjorie enjoyed music, reading, painting, poetry and her grandchildren. Marjorie was preceded in death by her husband Frank Camp and daughter Sally Thomas. She is survived by her sons, William (Bill) Camp and his wife, Nancy of Arlington, Texas, James (Jim) Camp of Fayetteville, Arkansas; grandchildren, Heather Camp, Jessica Fish, Joshua Fish, Matthew Camp, Jessica Camp, Kevin Camp, Riley Thomas, Brandon Thomas, Travis Thomas; great-grandson, Jaden Fish; brothers and sisters, Dixie Thompson, Marilyn and Wendell Spencer, Jerry Thompson, and Shirley and Gary Allen. and many wonderful nieces and nephews; and very dear friends. A Memorial Service will be held at 4:00 PM on Saturday, December 17, 2011 at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home in Frisco, Texas with Rev. Dr. Danny Buster officiating. Donations in lieu of flowers may be made to the charity of your choice.
