Marjorie Malone Burke

Marjorie Malone Burke, born to Frank and Allie Malone in Hempstead County, Arkansas near the communities of Piney Grove and DeAnn near Hope. She is survived by her husband, Ralph; daughter and son-in-law, Kim and Gil McDaniel of Dallas; granddaughters, Meagan and Shannon; brother, Col. Frank Malone and wife Lucille of Austin, TX; and numerous other relatives and friends. Her infant son, Robert Edward Burke and three brothers, A. D., Charles, and Floyd Malone precede her in death. Marge graduated from Emmett High School first in her class. Later she graduated with honors from Magnolia, Arkansas A. M. and Henderson Teachers University, as well as Perry Business College where she taught accounting in Alabama. Marge and Ralph were married February 1943. Despite her four brothers and husband spread over the world in combat zones, Marge served her country always demonstrating an active dependable voice in local and American politics. Her professional life as a teacher and accountant brought great joy and satisfaction to her life as demonstrated virtues of hard work and honesty. The last year Marge became known to her doctors and nurses as a fighter and often surprise them with her attempt to recover. Marge had friends to visit her daily in the hospital and Veranda Center. Friends are welcome to convey condolences 5-8 PM Thursday at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home. A memorial worship will be Friday at 2:00 PM at First United Methodist Church, 3160 E. Spring Creek Parkway, Plano, Texas. Memorials may be made in her memory to the First United Methodist Church in Plano.
