On a Wednesday, Marisa Elle was born at Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital in Plano, Texas – an early, welcomed, and surprise gift to her family - her namesake honoring her Grandmothers – Marinel and Elisa.
Received lovingly and with great joy by her parents, Tenari and Mafel; Marisa Elle light shone, and her eyes communicated her clearly bright, curious mind; and with her fingers reaching out and holding tightly, she showed her heart and love for her parents and this new world.
As a candle burning brightly and quickly, Marisa Elle showed many of the beautiful characteristics of both her parents being a perfect blend of both - displaying her youthful energy, high hopes, and unwavering fighting spirit.
At times, when briefly separated from her parents during her hospital stay, this beautiful and precious baby daughter communicated, every day, her greatest desire to go home to continue her worldly journey.
Though her time was brief with us, she achieved many of the things we all seek and hope to have in our own short time together - to be welcomed, to be part of a loving family and community, to have friends, to be an independent and strong individual, to love and be loved and be thankful for it, to learn about our small corner of the world, and lastly - leave it cradled by loved ones as a final blessing.
By her life, she gives all of us the profound, deep and enduring gift of reflection to ponder the precious gift of life, her life, and the value of going home.
Her spirit is received lovingly and happily, on the eve of Easter Sunday of the Resurrection and Springtime; by her Aunt Aniva, Great Grandfather Juanillo, Great Grandmother Aniva, and the loving arms of those loved ones who have gone before us - now entrusted to provide her with spiritual guidance and care; and the same love they bestow upon us - until we join her at God’s table.
Her physical self comes home to Allen, Texas: to the noisy fanfare and celebration of beloved pets: Manchu, Maru, and Dizzy and their protection; to the familiar and loving sights and sounds of a Great House, to the changing seasons from dark to light, and to its joyful times in the coming years – with Marisa Elle providing spiritual blessings and grace upon the home, to those who dwell in it, and those who visit.
“May the choirs of angels come to greet her and speed her to paradise. May God enfold her in warmth, light and eternal life. In paradisum deducant angeli; in paradisum deducant te.”
Private memorial services are conducted this Thursday, April 13th, 2023, at Turrentine-Jackson Morrow Funeral Home with closest family and grandparents. Thanks to our family and friends for their thoughts, prayers, and support. Special thanks to the staff of Texas Health Presbyterian and Medical City Dallas Hospitals for their unwavering support and care of Marisa Elle.
