Marilyn Jean Blattner

Marilyn Jean Blattner of Frisco, Texas passed away January 21, 2022 at the age of 91.  She was born on January 28, 1930 to Louis LaFrancis and Mary (Martin) LaFrancis in Chicago, Illinois.  Marilyn was a student and graduate of Chicago Independent School District.  She married the late Andrew Thomas Blattner on May 5, 1951 in Chicago.  Marilyn enjoyed shopping, crafting and event planning.  She liked gardening, traveling, and cruises.  Marilyn was a writer and volunteering as a counselor when she wasn’t enjoying her other hobbies.  She was a member of St. Gabriel the Archangel Catholic Church in McKinney.  Marilyn was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend.  She will be missed dearly by those who knew and loved her.

Marilyn is survived by her sons, Thomas Joseph Blattner and wife, Carolyn of Frisco, Texas and Richard William Blattner and wife, Karen of Romeoville, Illinois; sister, Karen Jean Orem and husband, John of Allen, Texas; grandchildren, Nicole Lewis and husband, Kevin of Celina, Texas, Tommy Blattner of McKinney, Texas, Steven Blattner of Romeoville, Illinois, Patrick Blattner and wife, Candace of Joliet, Illinois, Michael West of Fort Worth, Texas, and Matthew West of Allen, Texas; two great-grandchildren, Everly and Daniel.

She was preceded by her spouse, Andrew Thomas Blattner and parents.
