Marie Baker Klepper, age 90, resident of Plano, passed away January 20, 2010. She was born on November 2, 1919, in North Central Texas, to O.L. and Maggie Lee (Angel) Baker. Marie was a long time resident of Collin County. Marie was the last Klepper descendant living in Collin County. The Klepper’s were part of the Peters Colony, who were one of the founding fathers of Plano. She married J.D. Klepper on December 24, 1940, in Sherman, Texas. Marie was a member of Plano East Church of Christ. Marie is survived by her son, Gary David Klepper and wife Patty, of Lakewood, Colorado; daughter, Mary Beth Baker, husband Greg, and son Daniel, of Allen, Texas; niece, Judy Craig of Waxahachie, Texas; great-nieces, Sherry Scribner and family, of Irving, Texas, Shannon Hicks and family, of Waxahachie, Texas, Sonya Pereira and family, of Longview, Texas; nephew, Mike Harrell and wife Janie, of Garland, Texas; great-nephews, Matt Harrell and family, of Tucker, Georgia, and Luke Baker Harrell and family, of Garland, Texas; Numerous great and great-great nieces, nephews, family, and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, sister, Loudene Harrell, and brother-in-law Con Harrell. Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, January 26, 2010, in the Turrentine- Jackson-Morrow Chapel in Allen, Texas with Kenny Gardner officiating. Interment will follow at Ridgeview Memorial Park. The family will receive friends during a visitation from 6-8 p.m. Monday evening at the funeral home.
