Margie Nell Cleveland Hiles, 82 year old Leonard resident, formerly of Longview, passed away at her residence Friday July 1, 2016 after a prolonged illness. She was born August 11, 1933 at Edna, Texas. Her parents were John Henry and Mabel Louise Slusher Cleveland. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Leonard and she worked as a teacher of cosmetology prior to her retirement. She was a fiercely, loyal Texan and she had a great love for God and her family. No services are planned at the present time.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law: Aubrey Dean and Susan Sayes of Bossier City, LA; her son, Emmett Carl Sayes of Rowlett, TX; her daughter, Deana Jonelle Schlitt of Leonard; her five grandchildren: Jon-Hollis Hill and wife, Bethea, of Melbourne, Australia, Kleve Klepper of San Antonio, TX, Ethan Schlitt and wife, Sara, of College Station, TX, Chelsea Phillips of Ft. Worth, TX, and Brandon Sayes of Amarillo, TX; her great-granddaughter, Aurelia Hill, of Melbourne, Australia, as well as many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her three sisters, Alma Magdalene Magninat, Henriette Cleveland and Mary Louise Cleveland.
