Margarita Moreno Cantu

May 25, 1946 - November 22, 2017

Margarita Moreno Cantu, age 71, of Princeton, Texas, passed away on November 22, 2017.  She was born on May 25, 1946, to Pablo and Maria (Trevino) Moreno in Mathis, Texas.  Margarita was a devoted mother, grandmother and a devout Christian.  She was a friend to all that knew her, with a kind, caring and loving heart.  Margarita loved to dance to Country and Western and Tejano music.  She was a member of First United Methodist Church of McKinney, Texas.

She is survived by her son, Mauricio Cantu and wife Annette of McKinney, Texas; grandchildren, Marcus Abel Cantu, Jr. and Schelbi Cheyenne Margarita Cantu both of Oklahoma, Ella Grace Cantu, Abigail Hope McAdams and Gabriel Ian McAdams all of McKinney, Texas; great-grandson, Merrick Ansen Cantu of Oklahoma; daughter-in-law, Lorie Cantu Craighead of Oklahoma; brother, Juan Manuel Moreno of Lubbock, Texas; sisters, Santos Puentes, Martina Garza, Susana Soto all of Lubbock, Texas and Maria Gonzales of Rockwall, Texas; many other loving relatives and friends.

Margarita is preceded in death by her son, Marcus Abel Cantu; parents, Pablo and Maria Moreno; brothers, Pablo and Clemente Moreno; sister, Lola Martinez.

The family will receive friends during a visitation being held from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Monday, November 27, 2017 at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home, 2525 Central Expressway N., Allen, Texas 75013.

Hi Mac & Family. So sorry to learn about your mom's passing from you. What a dear, sweet lady! But to know she's with Jesus right now...how inspiring.
