Margaret Aileen Taylor

Sep 03 1970 - May 03 2020

Margaret Aileen Wicker Taylor of Conroe, Texas passed away on May 3, 2020 at the age of 49.  She was born September 3, 1970, to Ernest Eugene and Betty Margaret (Claassen) Wicker. Margaret and her three siblings grew up on a small farm near McKinney, Texas. She was educated at home and at various private Christian schools in the Dallas area. At age 15, she started at Collin County Community College and later transferred to Brigham Young University, where she met her husband David. Margaret married David Preston Taylor, III, on May 3, 1990, for time and eternity in the Dallas Texas Temple of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Margaret worked as a computer programmer for several years. David and Margaret raised their nine children in McKinney until 1999, when they moved near Bonham, in rural Fannin County. In 2012, they moved to Santiago, Chile, where most of the family learned to speak Spanish fluently. They returned to Texas in 2016 and moved to Conroe in 2019, where David and Margaret recently celebrated their 30th wedding anniversary.

Margaret home-schooled their nine children. She was an avid genealogist and in December 2019 was the top contributor to her branches of the family tree on FamilySearch.org. She loved gardening, sewing, cooking, and learning new things. She was devoted to her family and to the Lord.
