Margaret Sue Moody passed away on December 18, 2020 one day after her 73rd birthday with her daughter by her side. Sue was born on December 17, 1947 to Orville Guy Smith and Velma Bernice (Griffin) Smith in Dallas, Texas. After graduating from Lancaster High School in 1966, Sue attended Navarro Jr. College where she was a member of the Navarro Senorita Drill Team. After college, Sue married the late Randall L. Moody on August 8, 1970 in her hometown of Lancaster, Texas and they enjoyed 47 years of marriage before his passing in 2017. She was a member of the Allen Chapter of the Eastern Star. Sue was also a member of the First Baptist Church in Allen, Texas where she taught Sunday School and GAs. She was a dedicated and loving homemaker who took great pride in raising her daughters Susan Kay and Cindy.
Sue is survived by her daughters, Susan K. Van Heusen and husband, Charles of Keller, Texas and Cindy Yates and husband, Bill of Tavares, Florida; brother, David Smith and wife, Sandra of Colleyville, Texas; Grandsons Austin Van Heusen and William Van Heusen and numerous other loving family members and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Randall Moody and parents, Orville and Velma Smith.
Interment will be next to her husband in the historic Oakland Memorial Park in Terrell, Texas.
A memorial service will be held at a later date to be determined.
