IN LOVING MEMORY

Margaret Shea Kane

May 17 1944 - Sep 04 2024

Margaret Shea Kane was born on May 17, 1944 to Martha and Joseph Shea in Indianapolis, Indiana. She passed away September 4, 2024 in McKinney, Texas. Margaret grew up in a large, loving family that included seven siblings and numerous nieces and nephews. She attended Holy Cross Grade School and Scecina High School. Shortly after graduation she began her career as a flight attendant for American Airlines where she made many lifelong friends and traveled extensively for both work and pleasure. She lived most of her adult life in southern California where she met her husband Greg and stepson Jeff. Margaret and Greg were married for 42 years and have two wonderful grandchildren.

Margaret lived an exceptional and admirable life. There is a quote by Ralph Waldo Emerson, “To know even one life has breathed easier because you have lived. This is to have succeeded.” In her professional life of 50 years and her personal life of 80 years, Margaret succeeded in helping thousands breathe easier. She was caring, giving and someone you could always count on to listen, encourage and be fully present.

Margaret was a master of hospitality, always creating a warm and welcoming environment for her family and friends. Her ability to make others feel special and at ease was a testament to her generous spirit and genuine kindness.

As we celebrate Margaret’s life, we hold dear the countless memories and the profound impact she had on our lives. Her legacy of love and compassion will continue to inspire us always. Her presence in our lives will always be a cherished gift.

There will be no service as per Margaret’s wishes. If you are moved to contribute, please donate to your favorite charity or cause as she so often did.
