Margaret "Nan" Carter of Celina, Texas, passed away on October 28, 2018, at the age of 91. She was born on April 16, 1927, to J.T. and Emily Elizabeth (Tuley) Sauls Jr. in Denton County, Texas. Margaret married Henry Coy Carter on March 3, 1942, in Pilot Point, Texas. She was of the Baptist faith and a member of the InterSe Club of Celina.
Margaret is survived by her children, Joyce Farquhar and Mitchell Carter, both of Celina, Texas; grandchildren, Nancy Farquhar Rhodes, Janet Farquhar Cardona and her husband, Eddie, Shelli Carter, Stephan Carter and his wife, April, and Robyn Carter Fox and her husband, Robert; great–grandchildren, Daniel Cardona, Eric Cardona, Emily Cardona Moore, Alyssa Cardona, Marissa Cardona, Alex Cardona, Connor Rhodes, Chloe Carter, Trevor Carter, Cora Carter, Ashley Baxley, Rachel Fox and Madilyn Fox; and two great-great grandchildren, Liam Baxley and E.J. Cardona.
Margaret was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Coy Carter; son, Michael Coy Carter; parents, J.T. and Emily Elizabeth (Tuley) Sauls Jr.
A Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 1, 2018, at First Baptist Church of Celina, 841 N. Preston Road, Celina, Texas, officiated by Pastor Kevin Lykins. Family and friends are invited to a visitation that will be held one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will follow at Belew Cemetery in Aubrey, Texas.
