Margaret "Marge" Dassonville of Longview, Texas peacefully passed away on Friday, January 12, 2024 at the age of 89. Marge was born on December 10, 1934 in Chicago, Illinois to Harry and Mabel (Codd) Twigg. Her death was preceded by those of both of her parents, her husband, of 46 years, Gene Dassonville, and granddaughter, Allison Marie Schryver.
Marge will be fondly remembered as a devoted wife and mother. She was a member of the Presbyterian church and dedicated her life to raising her family. She also served as the bookkeeper and office manager for the family business for over 40 years.
She is survived by her four children, Troy of Gilmer, Texas, John of Dallas, Texas, Paul (Meredith) of Eugene, Oregon and Kristy Schryver (John) of Prosper, Texas; as well as seven grandchildren, Brad (Lynzi) of Diana, Texas, Brittney Daniel (Jace) of Longview, Texas, Andrew and Luke of Corvallis, Oregon, Zach and Ryan Schryver of Prosper, Texas, and Holly of Dallas, Texas; and two great-grandchildren, Nevaeh and Natalie of Diana, Texas.
As we remember Marge, let us also celebrate the wonderful life she lived and the countless memories she leaves behind. She will be dearly missed by her loving family, her devoted friends, and all the wonderful individuals who knew and loved her. May she rest in peace and be forever treasured.
