Martha “Mardy” Marie Call, age 77, of McKinney, Texas, passed away December 14, 2017. Our mom was born was born May 3, 1940 in Cleveland, Ohio, to Fred and Mary (Boediger) Teppenkamp. After graduating high school, Mardy married her sweetheart, Richard James Call on July 9, 1958; then they started their family, having three children. Her life revolved around her family and she gave her whole life to their happiness. In 1972 the family relocated to Texas. Mardy continued to do everything for her family- sporting events, pool parties, vacations, school functions and her favorite, the holidays. As she grew older and her children married and had their own families, she welcomed all of them as her own. Her kids were her life and oh how she loved her grandchildren. Mardy was also very active with her friends and enjoyed playing cards, going to movies, luncheons and just running around. She loved to entertain and cook. Mardy was a very caring and spiritual woman, who made everyone’s life a little more special.
After a yearlong battle with cancer, Mardy finally went to be with the good Lord and her true love, our dad. She fought a courageous battle and finally her body couldn’t fight anymore. Mardy will be dearly missed. She definitely made all of us better people and we were so blessed to have the greatest Mom in the world.
She is survived by her children, Rick Call of McKinney, Texas, Carolyn Owen and husband Mark of Rice, Texas, Todd Call and wife Denise of McKinney, Texas; grandchildren, Jenna Kellenaers and husband Thomas, Taylor Call, Cody Owen and wife Candice, Payton Owen, Logan Call and Tanner Call; great-grandchildren, Kaden, Kenzie and Tatem Kellenaers; sister, Louise Biello; many other loving relatives and friends.
Martha is preceded in death by her husband, Richard James Call; and parents, Fred and Mary Teppenkamp.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, December 18, 2017 at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home, 2525 Central Expressway N., Allen, Texas 75013. Interment will follow at Ridgeview Memorial Park. The family will receive friends during a visitation, being held from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m., Sunday evening, December 17, 2017 at the funeral home.
