Marcella Estelle Zator, of McKinney, Texas, passed away peacefully on May 8, 2026, at the age of 93.

She was born on February 6, 1933, in Shamokin, Pennsylvania, to Helen Heineman and Vincent Joyce. Marcella lived a full and vibrant life marked by devotion to her family, a passion for fashion, and a gift for bringing joy and laughter to those around her.

Marcella was united in marriage to Joseph Andrew Zator, with whom she shared 55 wonderful years until his passing in 2012. Their marriage was one of deep love, partnership, and enduring commitment.

Known for her wonderful sense of humor and lively spirit, Marcella found joy in the simple and meaningful things in life. She had a talent for needlepoint, a love for travel, and a keen eye for fashion—always dressing to the nines and making a statement wherever she went. She also took great pride in her work as a bridal consultant, a role she truly cherished.

Above all, Marcella loved her family. She is survived by her son, Joseph Zator, and daughters, Mary Ellen Zator Estes and her husband Matt, and Eileen Flynn and her husband Danny.  Her grandchildren, Katie Estes, Andrew Estes and his wife Michelle, Vince Flynn, and Caroline Flynn Fish and her husband Taylor; and her great-grandchildren, Charlotte, Lilly, and Lauren.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Joseph Andrew Zator; her parents; and her brothers, Robert and Vincent.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the St. Vincent de Paul Society at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church.  Its’ mission is to provide direct, compassionate aid to individuals and families in need, fostering hope and stability while working to alleviate poverty.

Marcella will be remembered for her elegance, her warmth, her humor, and the deep love she had for her family. She leaves behind a legacy of grace, strength, and cherished memories that will live on in all who knew her.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, May 15, 2026 at St. Michael the Archangel652 Redbud, McKinney, TX 75069.
