Malcolm M. Gillis, age 82, of McKinney, Texas, passed away February 1, 2018. Malcolm was born April 13, 1935, in Lincoln, Maine, to Hugh A. and Helen (Bucknell) Gillis. He married Virginia Sue Scarbrough on July 25, 1970, in Jacksonville, Florida. Malcolm attended Pacific University in Oregon. He proudly served in the United States Air Force. Malcolm owned Old Board Restaurant in New England for a number of years. He later had a career in food sales and went on to work in real estate with Prudential. Malcolm loved snow skiing and was always a New Englander at heart.
He is survived by his daughters, Melinda Corcoran and husband, Matt and Lisa Roche and husband, Michael, both of McKinney, Texas; sons, Brian Gillis and wife, Michelle of Deming, Washington and Gavin Gillis of Allen, Texas; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, and brother.
A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, February 10, 2018, at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel in Allen, Texas.
