MaKayla Paige Fisher

MaKayla Paige Fisher, age 21, passed away September 11, 2022.  She was born on July 11, 2001 to Christopher Joe Fisher and Carrie Lee Sanders in Sherman, Texas.  MaKayla grew up in Gordonville, Texas and Allen, Texas.  She was a 2019 graduate of Allen High School where she played varsity golf for the Allen High School Golf Team while completing her sophomore year of college credits.  After graduation, MaKayla attended Point Loma Nazarene University in San Diego, California on a golf scholarship and also attended Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas on an academic scholarship.  MaKayla found joy and passion playing golf, snowboarding, camping and being on the lake, listening to music and art.  She most loved spending time with her friends and family.  She was a loving daughter, sister, granddaughter, niece, and friend.  MaKayla exuded love and light and brought joy and smiles to all she encountered; she will be dearly missed.

She is survived by her parents, father, Christopher Joe Fisher of Frisco, Texas; mother, Carrie Lee Sanders of Gordonville, Texas, and Whitney Heemeyer of McKinney, Texas; brother, Jayce Landon Sanders; sister, Brielle Klea Fisher; grandparents, Joe Fisher and wife, Pat of Bonham, Texas, Sharon Baugh of Sherman, Texas, and Thomas M. Bassam of McLean, Virginia; several aunts and uncles; and a host of other loving family and friends.

MaKayla was preceded in death by her grandparents, Pamela Kay Sanders and Billy Ray Sanders.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, September 18, 2022 at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home Chapel, 2525 Central Expressway North, Allen, Texas 75013. The service will also be live streamed at TJMfuneral.com on MaKayla’s obituary page by clicking on the following link:  https://celebrationoflife.tv/blog/makayla-paige-fisher.  After the service, the recorded live stream will be available for viewing at the same link location.  Following the service, a procession will make its way to Ridgeview Memorial Park for a committal service.

The family will receive family and friends during a visitation on Saturday afternoon from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
