Maj. Norris M. Lowe, (Ret.), age 69, of Allen, Texas, passed away January 21, 2010, in Frisco, Texas. Maj. Lowe was born July 23, 1940, in Washington, D.C., to Charles and Margaret (Maupin) Lowe. He married Maxine Beasley on January 8, 1999 in California. Maj. Lowe graduated from the University of Nebraska. He proudly served in the United States Army for over twenty-three years including a service tour during the Vietnam War. Maj. Lowe was an independent mover in sales for thirty years and had recently worked with Bekins Moving Company. He was a member of Grace Evangelical Free Church in Lucas, Texas and was an avid Washington Redskins fan. He is survived by his wife, Maxine Lowe of Allen, Texas; daughter, Cheyenne Lowe also of Allen; sons, Matthew Lowe of Dallas, Texas, Mark Lowe of Plano, Texas, and Madi Lowe; step-daughters, Jackie Hartman of North Richland Hills, Texas, Edina Turner of Midlothian,Texas, Amanda Carr of Chino Hills, California, and Ericka Pilling of San Diego, California; ten grandchildren; and three sisters, Jackie Keys of West Virginia, Barbara Coleman of Germantown, Maryland, and Helen Davis of Frederick, Maryland. He was preceded in death by his parents. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m., Monday, January 25, 2010, at Grace Evangelical Free Church, 2005 Estates Pkwy., Allen, Texas, 75002 with Pastor Joel Walters officiating. The family will receive friends during a visitation from 4:00 – 6:00 p.m. Sunday at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home in Allen, Texas. Graveside services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, January 27, 2010, at Dallas-Ft. Worth National Cemetery in Dallas, Texas. Memorial donations may be made to Grace Evangelical Free Church, 2005 Estates Pkwy., Allen, Texas, 75002.
