Mother Mae Goode was a native of Alabama and a resident of Mobile, Alabama for a number of years until she moved to Texas in August 1991.

She was born on October 17, 1929 and was preceded in death by her parents, George and Sarah McWilliams; brothers, Euba Calhoun McWilliams, George Dees McWilliams, James Edmond McWilliams Sr.; and sisters, Mary (Hannah) Broughton and Clara de Weever.

She was married to Triphonie Goode (Major in the United States Army Reserves) who preceded her in death in 1976. To this union was born a daughter, Trilanda.

Mother Goode accepted Jesus as her Lord and Savior at an early age and was Spirit-filled in the 1970s. She was a faithful member at Spiritual True Holiness Church of God in Mobile, Alabama until she moved to Texas and became a member of Jesus Revival Ministry until they closed, then Daystar Deliverance Ministries in Richardson, Texas. Mother Goode held several positions in the churches she attended. She was one of the Sunday School Teachers at all three churches. She enjoyed teaching the Word of God and sharing stories as part of her lessons. Mrs. Goode was also an Educator in the Public School Systems in Mobile, Alabama. She was a teacher, assistant principal and her last promotion before retiring was Staff Assistant for Professional Personnel of Mobile County Public School Systems. 

Mother Goode departed this life on Thursday July 30, 2020 and she leaves to cherish her memories a devoted daughter Trilanda Goode-Lewis and four grandchildren: Sarah Lewis, Simone' Lewis, Terrence Lewis and Triphonie (Hailey) Lewis, five great grandchildren: Rylee-Mae, Amar'e, Ryanna Bell, Ava-Mae and Adrian; a sister-in-law, Ophelia Johnson; a brother-in-law, L. W. Washington; nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.

In support of our local, state, and federal govt including CDC directives and to protect the physical health, safety and well-being of our community, only invited guests will be allowed to attend the Funeral Service.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, August 8, 2020 at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home Chapel, 2525 Central Expressway North, Allen, Texas, and will also be live streamed on the Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Facebook page and a recorded video will be available following the funeral service on Mae’s obituary page.

However, those who would like to honor Mae and show their support to her family may remain at the funeral home in your vehicle, where you can watch the live streamed service on your personal device (laptop, tablet or smartphone) or listen through a designated FM radio channel.

A "Come and Go" visitation will be held at 8:30 a.m. until 8:00 p.m., on Friday, August 7, 2020  at the funeral home and there will be no Wake.  Only a limited number of guests will be allowed to enter the funeral home facility at any one time to maintain social distancing.

Following the funeral service, a procession will make its way to Ridgeview Memorial Park for a committal service where all are invited to attend the committal service maintaining social distancing or you may remain in your vehicle. You will be able to listen to the service through speakers set up at the gravesite.
