Mackenzie Natalia Santee of Plano, Texas, bravely battled cancer for 2 years and finished her race on October 6, 2025, at the age of 23. She was born on July 9, 2002, in Plano, Texas, to her loving parents Jeffrey Joseph Santee and Claudia Rene (Kling) Santee.

Mackenzie graduated from Lucas Christian Academy in 2020, where she served as Vice President of her class. She went on to earn an associate degree from Liberty University and was pursuing her bachelor’s degree in Speech Pathology at the University of North Texas. A talented athlete, Mackenzie was a competitive gymnast for seven years prior to high school. She was also a successful social media creator who loved to dance and express her creativity. Known for her gentle and compassionate spirit, she had a special love for animals and brought warmth and light to everyone around her.

Mackenzie is survived by her parents Jeff & Claudia Santee of Plano, Texas; brother Corbin Santee of Plano, Texas; grandmother, MaElena Kling of Plano, Texas; uncle, Armando Kling (Nayeli) of Frisco, Texas; aunt, Erica Prachyl (Dustin) of Allen, Texas; uncle, Scott Santee (Lisa) of Indiana; aunt, Lori Smith (Brian) of Ohio; cousins, Isabelle, Natali, Dylan, Lincoln, Zack, Gabe, Josiah, Eli, Alayna; honorary papa, Chuck Keels; and a host of other numerous loving family and friends.

Mackenzie was preceded in death by her grandparents, Jerry & Margie Santee; uncle, Tod Santee; and grandfather, Daniel J. Kling.

The family will receive friends during a visitation on Sunday afternoon from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home, 2525 Central Expressway North, Allen, Texas 75013. 

A graveside service for family will be held on Monday, October 13, 2025, at Ridgeview Memorial Park, 2525 Central Expressway North, Allen, Texas 75013. 

A Celebration of Life, open to all, will follow at 2:30 p.m. at CityBridge Community Church, 6400 K Avenue, Plano, Texas 75074. Guests are encouraged to wear colorful church attire -- baby blue and light pink were Mackenzie’s favorite colors.
