Lynda Sue Stambaugh, 69, of Celina, Texas, passed away on May 11, 2017 in Celina. She was born on February 3, 1948 in Sherman, Texas to Lynn Eldon Stambaugh and Dorothy Sue Cashon. She graduated from Celina High School in 1966 and later attended East Texas State University, graduating in 1970. She worked for State Farm Insurance and retired after 35 years. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Celina, Texas and also served with the Cottage Hill Cemetery Association.
She is survived by her sister, Jerry Dickerson and husband Lewis of Celina, Texas; sister-in-law, Diana Stambaugh of Allen, TX; nieces and nephews, Blake Dickerson and wife, Stacy, Jennifer Hunt, Karen Faye Dickerson, Zachary Stambaugh, Trenton Niblett, Natalie Stambaugh, Jacob Hunt, Derek Dickerson, Devin Dickerson and Joshua Dickerson and many loving aunts, uncles and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents, brother, Tom Stambaugh and niece, Emily Stambaugh.
Memorial services will be held on Monday, May 15, 2017 at 2:00 PM at First Baptist Church, 841 N. Preston Rd. Celina, TX 75009. The family will receive friends at a visitation one hour prior to the service, 1:00 PM, at the church.
