Lynda Marie (Foster) Cyr of McKinney, Texas passed away on September 23, 2022, at the age of 76. She was born on January 21, 1946, to Maylon Martin Foster and Cornelia (Dearman) Foster in Hattiesburg, Mississippi. Lynda graduated from Hattiesburg High
School. She then worked as a beautician for a couple years before she married Richard Montague on December 27, 1967, and the Air Force took them to Germany for the next year. After being discharged, they moved to Mississippi for nearly ten years before moving to Victoria, Texas for a short time, and then returned to Mississippi for over twenty years. Lynda finally settled back in Texas to be closer to her grandchildren. She worked for many years as a home health worker in Mississippi and Texas before retirement. Lynda was an avid traveler and loved puzzles. Her favorite thing was to spend time with her grandchildren. Lynda was the unofficial party planner at Plano Senior Center Home.
Lynda is survived by her two children, Michele Greenwald and husband, Gary, and John Montague and wife, Jessi; five grandchildren, Cassie Thompson and husband, Anthony, Brittany Greenwald, Zacary Montague, Adriana Coats, and Elijah Ford; one great granddaughter, Astrid Thompson; and one sister, Patricia Thrash.
Lynda was preceded in death by her parents, Maylon and Cornelia Foster and her daughter, Joan Michele Montague.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, September 27, 2022, at Ridgeview Memorial Park, 2525 Central Expressway North, Allen, Texas 75013.
The family will receive friends during a visitation on Tuesday, September 27, 2022, from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home Chapel, 2525 Central Expressway North, Allen, Texas 75013.
