Luke Thomas Chaisson, Jr. of Mckinney , Texas, lost his battle with Cancer on November 6, 2010. Luke was born September 8, 1942 in Harvey, Louisiana, to Luke Thomas Chaisson, Sr. and Gertrude (Chouest) Chaisson. He had two great loves in his live-his wife, Charlotte Chaisson who he married on July 23, 1960 and the Mississippi River. Luke was lucky in that he enjoyed spending time with his family, his work.on the water as a tow boat captain, and his relationship with God as a Jehovah’s Witness. In his free time he could be found camping with all of his family on some body of water where he could put his two loves together. No matter where he was Luke was appreciated for his acute sense of decency and humor. He will be sadly missed by all of his family and friends. He is survived by his wife, Charlotte Chaisson; children, Donna Chaisson of Mckinney, Texas, David Chaisson and wife Jana of Mckinney, Texas, Darrin Chaisson and wife Terri of Lucas, Texas , Jason Chaisson and fiancé Cory Rhoades of Allen, Texas; grandchildren Jennifer, Justin, Jeremy, Amber, Heather, Josh, Zachary, Nicholas, TréLuke, and Gavin; great-granchildren, LaBreja, Arianna, Lily, Chandler, and Seth; sisters Loretta Rogers, Geraldine Breaux, and brother Wayne Chaisson; and many nieces and nephews. Luke was proceeded in death by his parents, Luke and Gertrude Chaisson. Donations may be made to the American Cancer Society at www.cancer.org. A memorial service will be held on Thursday November 11, 2010, 2:00 p.m. at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel, in Allen, Texas. Family and friends are invited to attend. Their will be a visitation from 6-8 p.m. at the same location.
