Luda Mae Medley was born November 15, 1933 in Leonard, Texas to Roy Wilson Medley and Lura Mae Jacobs Medley. She passed away on November 19, 2017 at Leonard, Texas at the age of 84 years surrounded by her family.
Luda was a life long resident of Leonard and was a member of the First Baptist Church in Leonard.
Although Luda was born an only child, she had an extended adopted family. In 1999 she became a member of the Lowry family and in 2000 a member of the Moore family. She enjoyed family gatherings with both families every year. She was an important family member to all of us. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her dear friend, Johnny Moore of Leonard.
She is survived by her extended family: Rita Moore of Leonard; Megan Dunson and family; Lisa Moore, Gary Moore and family; Melanie Miles and family; Toni Lowry of Bailey; John Womack of Bonham; Dee Rhine of Bailey; Leslie and Donna Craft of Sherman; Jennifer Liggins and family of Arp; Charles Lowry and family of Bailey; and Samantha Chambers and family of Melissa. She is also survived by a herd of children that she considered her adopted grandchildren. She was loved and will be missed.
Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, November 22, 2017 at 11:00am at the Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel in Leonard. A visitation will be held one hour before the service at 10:00am. Officiating the service will be Brother Chad Leutwyler and Brother Charles Lowry. Pallbearers will be Cody Johnson, Charles Lowry, Dakota Lowry, Kameron Rogers, Mark Buchanon and Leslie Craft.
