Lucille May, age 99, of Gunter, Texas passed away on October 31, 2017 in Ft. Worth, Texas. She grew up on the family farm and was the middle child between 4 other siblings. After graduating from high school, she then attended business school in Dallas, where, she then met and fell in love with Monroe May residing in Sherman, Texas. They married in August of 1937 and had three children; Bob, Merilyn and Pat.        

After numerous assignments as a county agent, Monroe began a career in the livestock feed business. He worked in Dallas for ACCO Feeds for over 20 years, retiring in 1978. Upon retirement, they moved to their farm in Gunter Texas. Monroe passed away in 1978, but Lucille remained on the farm until 2016 until health issues forced her to move to assisted living. Lucille and Monroe were active members in Northway Christian Church from 1953-1976. She continued to attend Northway from 1978-2012.                 

Lucille is survived by her sons, Robert M. May and wife Jeanne of Austin, Texas, and Pat May of Ft. Worth, Texas; seven grandchildren, Merideth Kruse, Allyson Cunningham, Scott and David May, Cathy Thomas, Andrew Smith and Sheryl Gyr; six great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.                           

Lucille is preceded in death by her husband Monroe, daughter Merilyn and four siblings. 

Funeral Services will be held Saturday, November 11, 2017 at 11:00 AM at Northway Christian Church, 7207 W. Northwest Highway Dallas, Texas 75225. Interment will be held at 3:00 PM at West Hill Cemetery, 1304 West Lamar Street, Sherman, Texas 75092. 

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Northwest Christian Church, 7207 West Northwest Highway, Dallas, Texas 75225.
