Lucille Henbest passed away at the age of 83 on September 6, 2025 in Farmersville, Texas. Lucille was born on September 30, 1941 to J.B. Moore and Sarah Bolen in El Reno, Oklahoma.
Lucille was a loving Wife, Mother, Grandmother and Great Grandmother to her family, friends and all who were lucky enough to have met her. She was a homemaker who loved to be surrounded by her family and friends. Lucille enjoyed finding a bargain at local thrift stores, collecting figurines and glass wear. She loved playing all types of board and card games like Monopoly, Uno and Rummy. If you were playing against Grandma, you better bring your “A” game. Grandma was known to bake many types of pies, her most requested specialty was chocolate pie, known as the best chocolate pie on earth! She also loved to bring home a snack to spoil her dog, Ginger. On Saturday evenings, she could be found in front of the television in her favorite chair, enjoying a variety of Country and gospel music shows on RFTV. Her faith was strong to the very end; she was a member of the Bethlehem Baptist Church of Farmersville.
Lucille is survived by her daughter, Susan Moore and husband Patrick of Richardson, Texas; grandchildren, Daniel Hanna and wife Cassie of Lake Fork, Texas, Wesley Hanna and Lauren Kallas of Dallas, Texas, and Dustin Hanna and wife Hildi of Wylie, Texas; and great grandchildren, Harper and Halyn Hanna of Lake Fork, Texas.
She was preceded in death by husband, Dale and son, Donald.
Graveside service will be held at I.O.O.F. Cemetery on Tuesday, September 16, 2025 at 11:00 a.m.
