Mrs. Lucille Chesney, age 86, of McKinney, Texas, passed away August 25, 2005, in Gunter, Texas. She was born May 14, 1919, in Altoga, Texas, to Joseph W. and Ona (Mantooth) Chesney. She was married to Sam Chesney, Jr. in 1934. Mrs. Chesney was a homemaker and also worked several years at Haggar Pant Factory. She was a member of Rhea’s Mill Baptist Church. She is survived by her son, Joe W. Chesney and wife, Karen of McKinney; grandsons, Joe Keith Chesney and wife, Debbie of Rhea’s Mill, Texas, Reed Chesney of Savannah, Georgia, and Chad Chesney of Dallas, Texas; and one great-granddaughter, Mackenzie Chesney of Celina, Texas. Her husband, three sisters, one half-sister and one stepsister preceded her in death. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M., Saturday, August 27, 2005, in the Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel with Rev. Travis Maxwell officiating. Interment will follow at Ridgeview Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M., Friday, at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be Clyde Ray Chesney, Jerry Prince, Boyd Dunn, Paul Furr, Bill Fowler and Ernest Rains.
