Lucia Dixon of Plano, Texas passed away April 24, 2019, at the age of 65. She was born on March 10, 1954, to David and Aurelia (Barreras) Soto in Chamberino, New Mexico. Lucia graduated from Gadsden High School in 1972. She worked for Texas Instruments for over 40 years in different areas and departments. Lucia married Thomas Dixon on September 2, 2004 at 6:07 p.m., in Las Vegas, Nevada.
She loved to play the slots at casinos and when she was up she'd shout "CASH OUT, VAMONOS!" Lucia was a talented athlete who played both softball and basketball for many years. She loved to eat and make tacos, as well as green and red Chile. Lucia enjoyed watching movies and was a lover of all kinds of music. She especially loved spending time with her children Lee, Alfonso and Terri, and husband Thomas. Lucia had a kind, caring, warm, outgoing and compassionate soul. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Lucia is survived by her loving husband of 14 years, Thomas Dixon of Plano, Texas; children, Lee Ferguson and husband, Jim of Plano, Texas, Alfonso Silva of Austin, Texas, Brett Wilson of Austin, Texas and Terri Silva of Plano, Texas; siblings, David Soto Jr. and wife, Lupe of Las Cruces, New Mexico, Becky Diaz and husband, Rudy of Albuquerque, New Mexico, Alice Soto and partner, John of Hatch, New Mexico, Molly Hernandez and husband, Robert of La Union, New Mexico, Margaret Villalobos of La Union, New Mexico, Eddy Soto and wife, Veronica of Albuquerque, New Mexico, Vivian Soto of Plano, Texas, Tommy Soto and Jay Murter of Dallas, Texas, Michael Soto and Kathy Smith of Roseville, California and Gracie Ramos and husband, Adrian of Chandler, Arizona; and numerous nieces, nephews and other loving family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, David and Aurelia Soto and her brothers, Mondie Soto and Lofi Soto.
