Lucas Banner, age 11, of Prosper, Texas passed away January 21, 2004, at his home. He was born February 9, 1992, in Plano, Texas to Daniel Luther (Danny) and Melody Lee Baxter Banner. Lucas was a student at Prosper Middle School and a member of the Presbyterian Church of Prosper. He is survived by his parents, Danny and Melody Banner of Prosper; grandparents, David and Margo Baxter also of Prosper and Frank and Lou Banner of Weston, Texas; uncles, David “Burr” Baxter of Prosper, Tony Banner of McKinney, Doug Banner of Celina, and Cole Banner of Allen, Texas; aunt, Teresa King of Scurry, Texas; and several cousins. He was preceded in death by his sister, Deanna Rhea Banner. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m., Friday, at the Presbyterian Church in Prosper, 400 S. Coleman St., with Rev. John Fowler and Rev. Dawson Tunnell officiating. Interment will follow at Walnut Grove Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 p.m., Thursday at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home.
