Love Vell Cole, a resident of McKinney, Texas, embraced her final dance on April 29, 2024, at the age of 76. She was born on February 29, 1948, in Grady, Arkansas to parents, Amos Harris, Sr. and Mary Lee (Smith) Harris.

In her late teens, Love moved to Little Rock, Arkansas, where she raised her family with unwavering love and dedication. Her commitment to providing for them was unyielding, and her guiding light illuminated their path through life. She was the beacon of her family. 

Music and dancing were Love's heart's delight, infusing joy into every step she took. Her light-hearted spirit and infectious laughter lifted the hearts of all fortunate enough to know her. Love found joy in the kitchen, where her dishes were shared with loved ones, strengthening bonds and creating cherished memories. Love's proficiency in maintaining a pristine home was legendary—her dusting rag always at the ready, a testament to her meticulous care. And then there was Roxanne, (Roxy) her fur baby. Love truly enjoyed caring for her dog. 

Love was of the Baptist faith, finding comfort and strength in her Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.

She leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and unwavering devotion to family and faith. Love's memory will forever remain in the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing her.

She was preceded in death by her eldest son Leandre Jackson of Lawton, Oklahoma. She is survived by her children. daughter, Michele Jackson of Denton, Texas, son, Vincent Jackson and wife, Kimberly of Frisco, Texas, daughter, Shannon Rhone and husband, Corey of Prosper, Texas and her daughter-in-love, Anita Berry and husband, Matthew of Little Elm, Texas; twelve beloved grandchildren, Shanele, Brandon, Jamaela, John, Peiton, Leandre, Ashley, Matthew, Makenzie, Karrington, Dylan and Chris; great-grandchildren, Damien, Dezmone, Daniel, Eddie Lee, Jariya, and Brooklyn; siblings: Cleola Mcroy, Marvin Harris (Joann), Emma Jean Pruitt, Steve Harris (Diana), Albertha Jordan (Edward), Mary Jane Jordan, Minister Sammie Harris (Jackie), and Minister Sampson Harris (Michelle); devoted lifelong friends Beverly Johnson, Lillian Arnold and Gwen Lusby and a host of other loving family members and friends.

Love was preceded in death by her parents, Amos and Mary Harris; brothers, Jessie Harris, Amos Harris, Jr., and Edward Harris; sisters, Sophia Hildreth and Melissa Neal.

A funeral service will be held at 4:00 p.m., Friday, May 3, 2024 at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Chapel, 2525 Central Expressway North, Allen, Texas 75013. After the service, the recorded live stream will be available for viewing at the same link location. 

The family will receive friends during a visitation on Thursday evening from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
