Ethel Louise (Cannon) White of McKinney, Texas passed away at the age of 89, on August 13, 2016 at her daughter’s home in Wills Point, Texas. She was born on August 17, 1926 to Willie Albert and Arie Milda (Simpson) Cannon in the Lowry Crossing Community. Louise married Doyle David White on November 27, 1970 in McKinney, Texas.
She worked as a seamstress for Hagar Slacks for many years and in her later years, she enjoyed being a homemaker. She loved camping with her late husband and loved being outside taking care of her flowers, caring for her chickens, and feeding and watching the hummingbirds that came back to her home year after year. She loved life and she loved people.
Louise is survived by her daughters, Sharon Haney and husband, Howell of Wills Point, Texas, Wanda Hetrick and husband, Gary of Arlington, Texas; son, Buddy Driver and wife Debbie of Altoga, Texas; two sisters, Mae McEuen of Murphy, Texas and Ena Stevens of Virginia; eight grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and numerous other loving family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband; two brothers; and three sisters.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, August 16, 2016 at Altoga Baptist Church in Altoga, Texas. Interment will follow at Altoga Cemetery. The family will receive friends during a visitation on Monday evening, August 15, 2016 from 7:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home in Allen, Texas.
