Louis Andy Dean, age 73, passed away August 5, 2017 in McKinney, Texas. Louis was born January 25, 1944 to Andy C. Dean and Virginia Hankins Dean in McKinney, Texas.
After graduating from McKinney High School in 1962, he went to Texas Tech University, where he received two degrees, a Bachelors of Business Administration in Accounting 1966 and a Masters of Business Administration in Accounting 1967. Louis was a CPA for forty two years and retired in 2014 from the FDIC.
Louis is survived by his aunt, Evelyn Hankins Bowers of Austin, Texas; cousins, Becky Bowers Hernandez of Austin, Texas and Belinda Bowers Baker of Colleyville, Texas.
He was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents, Ernest and Van Dona Hankins.
Louis enjoyed stamp collecting, traveling and was a longtime supporter of Texas Tech Athletics. The family asks that donations be made in Louis’s name to the Texas Tech Athletics Department.
The family will receive friends during a visitation being held Monday evening, from 7:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m., at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home, 2525 Central Expressway N., Allen, Texas 75013.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, August 8, 2017 at Ridgeview Memorial Park in Allen, Texas.
