Louis Joseph Miller Jr.

Louis Joseph Miller Jr., age 73, native of New Orleans, Louisiana, passed away on Saturday, August 7, 2021, in Little Elm, Texas. Louis was born on September 18, 1947, in New Orleans, Louisiana, to Addie Rose Francois and Louis Joseph Miller Sr.  Louis proudly served his country in the United States Navy.  He obtained his Associate Degree and worked as an accounts manager.  Louis married the love of his life, Elaine Theresa Boudy, in New Orleans on February 3, 1968.  He spoke Spanish, Latin and French and loved meeting people.  Louis was a happy-go lucky guy, life of the party, loved jazz music, food, cooking, family, singing, dancing and talking. Louis played several instruments: trumpet, clarinet, drums and the flute.  Louis loved being called Poppi, King Loui and Poppa Smurf.  He loved his “granny's” (grandchildren).  Louis was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all those who knew him.

Louis is survived by his beloved wife, Elaine Miller of 53 years, native of New Orleans; his four daughters, Marie Miller-Felt (Mookey)- Calvin, Christina Miller- Bates (Christy)-Bernell, Rebecca Miller-Francis (Becky Boo)-Harold, Monique Miller-Haines (Peaches)-Kendall; his two sons, Louis J. Miller III (Busta)-Orlanda, Christofer M. Miller (Chris)-Brandy; twenty (20) grandchildren; eight (8) great-grandchildren; honorary granddaughter (Paulette Johnson); his brother, Graylin Miller; and  his sister, Yolanda Miller of New Orleans; as well as a host of in-laws, nieces, nephews, family members and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Addie Rose and Louis Miller Sr.; his first set of twin daughters, Darlene and Sharlene Miller; his brother Dwight Miller Sr.; and his sister, Lois Evans.

A visitation and funeral service will be held at Berkshire Chapel, 9073 Berkshire Drive, Frisco, Texas, on Friday, August 13, 2021.  Visitation begins at 10:00 a.m. followed by the funeral service at 11:00 am., officiated by Minster Calvin Felt.

Louis Miller’s loss is felt by all of us.  We would like to express our gratitude and thanks to everyone who sent a prayer, cards, flowers, text, a visit or provided meals.  Louis' life here on earth is done, but memories can be brought up in recall.  Your kind words and sympathy are felt by all of us.  Thank you to Prairie Estates Staff, Elysian Hospice, St. Gabriel The Arc Angel, The Potter's House of North Dallas and the pastoral team, Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home.
