Louis George Haveman, Jr.

Louis George Haveman, Jr. of Allen, Texas passed away on November 25, 2018 at the age of 84.  He was born on October 10, 1934 to Louis George Sr., and Thelma Louise (Deuell) Haveman in Grand Rapids, Michigan.  Louis proudly served his country for over 20 years in the United States Army, retiring as a Master Sergeant.  He married Seiko Nagasaki in Okinawa, Japan.  Louis was a member of the Acts Two Seventh Day Adventist Church in Plano, Texas. He also retired as plant superintendent of Reynolds Aluminum in El Campo, Texas.

Louis is survived by his wife of 64 years, Seiko Haveman of Allen, Texas; sons, Louis Haveman, III and wife, Kay of Denton, Texas and Thomas Haveman and wife, Yolanda of Allen, Texas; daughter, Kimiko Barling and husband, Paul of Allen, Texas; grandchildren, Joshua Barling, David Barling, Michael Barling, John Haveman, Shelby Haveman and Emily Haveman; great-grandchildren, Joseph Haveman, Haley Haveman, Miles Barling, Ella Barling and Joey Feliciano; brothers, Roger Haveman and wife, Jan, Ted Haveman and wife, Agnes and Craig Haveman; sisters, Wilmajean Van Dyke and husband, Gordan and Faith Lewis and husband, Wayne; and numerous other loving family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

A memorial service will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Sunday, December 2, 2018 by the Acts Two Seventh Day Adventist Church, inside the Disciples Christian Church, 2001 Independence Parkway, Plano, Texas 75075. A private graveside inurnment with full military honors will be held at Dallas-Ft. Worth National Cemetery, 2000 Mountain Creek Parkway, Dallas, Texas 75211 on the following Tuesday.

The family asks that any donations be made to his favorite charity, Acts Two Seventh Day Adventist Church, 2001 Independence Pkwy, Plano TX 75075.
